Work Physicals – Depending on your job or employer.  Just tell us what they require and we will conduct the exam and prepare all the tests that are required.

X-Ray Services – Houston’s Progressive Medicine Associates offers x-rays to help us diagnose urgent and non-urgent conditions.  Are you afraid that you featured? Allow us to help you find out.  At Progressive Medicine Associates, we use the latest in digital radiographic technology to produce high-quality X-Rays efficiently and quickly.   Clinicians and patients can see images immediately while they are still in the office, oftentimes negating the need for another time-consuming follow-up visit.  Our digital x-ray machine exposes the patient to less radiation as well as the unpleasant odors associated with convention x-ray processors.  Copies of the x-rays can be quickly and easily made to take home,e show to other health care providers, insurance companies, or attorneys as needed.

Trigger Point Injections – are small injections into a painful muscle to help alleviate the pain that originates from the muscle.  usually used after whiplash injuries, these injections can help speed up the recovery process.  We can also help with painful joints by injecting them in corticosteroids to decrease the swelling and pain, When habilitation exercise and oral medications are not enough to stop the pain, Progressive Medicine Associates uses a highly specialized technique called Trigger Point Injections when dedicated. These injections can only be done by a highly trained and qualified medical clinician with specialized knowledge of the musculoskeletal system.  This form of therapy is highly recommended in difficult cases and is not appropriate for everyone.

Nerve Conduction Studies / EMG – Never conduction velocity (NCV) studies are done to measure the speed of an electrical signal down a nerve.  These are often done in the arms or legs to determine if there is any damage to the nerve due to an accident.  Along with NCV studies, an electromyogram (EMG) is usually performed.  These test the muscles at the end of the nerves to see if the nerve damage has affected the muscle as well.  These are considered the most accurate and definitive tests for never and muscle damage and are often performed right after or in combination with an MRI to help pinpoint problems.
