Physician Assistant
A physician assistant (PA), also known as a physician associate, is a healthcare professional trained and licensed to practice medicine with limited supervision of a physician. A physician assistant is concerned with preventing and maintaining and treating human illness and injury by providing a broad range of health care services that are traditionally performed by physicians. Physician assistants conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, counsel on preventive healthcare, assist in surgery, and write prescriptions.
Physician assistants work in hospitals, clinics, and other types of health facilities, and exercise autonomy in medical decision making as determined by their supervising physician. The professional requirements typically include at least two years of graduate-level education. They are educated in the medical model designed to complement physician training.

Chiropractors
A chiropractor is a licensed doctor who specializes in disorders of the muscles, bones, joints, and peripheral nervous system. This is a great choice as your therapist as most accidents involve pain and problems in these areas. Chiropractors employ both passive and active therapies that are comfortable and beneficial for the patient. Your Progressive Medicine Associates chiropractors will coordinate your care once you have had a medical evaluation by the physician assistant. The chiropractor will put a therapy plan and visit schedule together to fit your needs, schedule, and comfort level. They will work with your to set goals for your therapy progress, administer all your therapy int he clinic, sometimes recommend another diagnostic testing such as MRI’s or NCV/EMG studies, sometimes recommend other therapies such as trigger point injections, or epidural steroid injections, or sometimes refer you to another specialist for a consultation. Your chiropractor is your total therapy coordinator and will get you better as soon as possible.
